Job Description
This role will form part of the Metals & Mining Data team and will work closely with our Research, Product and Engineering colleagues. The successful candidate will be help solve challenges around data management, pipelines, analysis and data quality.
The success of this role will require attention to detail, collaboration & problem solving. The core objective is to help manage and migrate workflows from legacy systems & deliver internal efficiencies through data. Ensuring we have a supportive and inclusive culture within our team is essential.
Main Responsibilities
Gain a deep understanding of our customer data and existing landscape and business processes and be the go-to person for questions about data/product/business processes.Take the lead on data quality, data integration, data landscape transformation related initiativesCollect, extract, and compile data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and completeness. Identify and address data quality issues, such as missing or inconsistent data, by partnering with data engineers and implementing data cleansing techniques in analysis.Ability to gather business requirements and translate to technical specificationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and provide timely and relevant reports.Bridge the gap between non-technical users and technical users of data to understand and support their data modelling needs.

Qualifications
Minimum 7-10 years of experience working as Data AnalystProven working experience in data discovery, data cleansing, validation, data flow , data engineering and analysisPossess a creative, systematic, and logical approach to problem-solvingPreferable experience working in both cloud-based and on-premise platformsExtensive experience and passion for communicating data & analysis effectively (e.g., through metrics, thoughtful reporting and dashboards visualizations)Skilled at using SQL to query databases (Python scripting language is a plus). Able to reverse engineer the existing codes/scripts.Understanding of business analysis process concepts, and how business needs drive the implementation approach to solutionsExperience in automating data ingestion, data cleansing, data warehouse, data lake and data management conceptsDeep knowledge of data modelling best practices and experience in APIs or web scrapingExperience analysing and developing user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenariosExperience producing project artifacts, including meeting notes, mockups, process maps, and data flow diagrams to convey functionality to stakeholders and development teams.Must have excellent writing skills, including the ability to write user guides and technical/functional documentation for complex processes that is concise, yet thoroughExperience using tools (such as Jira, Confluence, or TFS) to document and trace requirementsProficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS VisioKeen Interest in Commodity Market Dynamics , Highly Adaptive Team Player , Growth Mindset , Change Agility
Expectations
We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
