Description
Rystad Energy is looking for a Gas Market Analyst to work in our São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro offices as a part of our global Gas market team and contribute with our research practice. Your primary task will be to survey gas market activity and upcoming project pipeline in Brazil and globally and to provide our clients with leading and relevant intelligence. We are looking for candidates with strong analytical skills, technical or energy-related educational background and work experience. Candidates will be required to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic work environment.
The Gas Market team is a part of the analyst department at Rystad Energy and is responsible for maintaining and developing our database and research products within the gas market space. The work consists of collecting and analyzing data, developing primary research networks, writing reports and regular narratives, and presenting to our clients. This will give you a deep understanding of the regional and global gas market industry and you will work in close collaboration with our consultants and programmers, as well as our business developers. Prior gas market related experience is preferred for the position.
Responsibilities
Develop, update and manage the regional gas databases in Excel and SQL Create and guarantee usability of data crawlers Research the major Latin America gas markets, including regulation framework and pricing mechanisms Track changes in policies and their key implications for the forecast models Develop and manage power BI dashboards Support infrastructure costs modeling Develop customized analysis, market reports and country reports Write insightful commentaries and participate in webinars on industry trends Support our external clients, consultants and business development team
Experience & Skills
2-5 years of relevant work experience Phyton and SQL knowledge University degree in a data driven field such as mathematics, engineering, economics or finance/ business Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate well both verbally and written Fluent in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese . Self-motivated, proactive, and independent as well as a strong team player
