Job Description
We are looking for a self-driven Data Analytics Intern, who has the enthusiasm to implement a time-critical, cross-functional project for a Electrical Drives Business Unit in North America – focusing on Sales & Portfolio Management.
You will be working closely with the Project Manager for the Turnaround of this Electric Drives Business Unit.
Stakeholders are cross-functional: Regional Business Unit Leader, Sales, Logistics, Manufacturing, Project Management.
You will have two primary projects:
1) Implement a data base building a system to manage customer contractual data for our North American customer base. You will have the chance to make this your project, from definition all the way to implementation.
2) Perform market & competitor analysis to derive strategic portfolio decisions
Tasks:
Customer Intelligence Data Base:
Align requirements with all relevant stakeholders (focus on Sales, Logistics, Manufacturing)Develop & implement an analytics solution using data analytics tools and skills to build a system to manage customer contractual data (e.g. PowerBi, Tableau)Collect, clear, store and also analyze data from our sales activitiesSet up reporting & visualizations to deliver insightful and actionable recommendation.Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies, laws and regulationsPresent recommendations & align action plans with stakeholders
Portfolio Strategy:
Market & competitor analysis (focus on products, USP, pricing)Derive portfolio recommendations (product extensions, product exits)Scenario analysis on Business Unit’s profitability & plant capacity
Qualifications
We are looking for a Data Analytics student with interest in sales and portfolio management.
Self-motivated, detail oriented, curious personalityExperience in building visualizations (e.g. Tableau or Power BI)Experience in building databases (SQL, coding experience using Python preferred but not mandatory)Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including pivot tables)Curiosity with the ability to utilize, organize and synthesize data of various types and sourcesMust be currently enrolled in an accredited university with at least one semester completedPursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in the fields of IT, Data Analytics, Business Administration with focus on Data AnalyticsMust be a minimum of 18 years of ageMinimum 3.0 GPA
