Job Description
As a Conceptual Data Modeling Specialist at Intevity, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of our data architecture and ensuring seamless data integration and flow within our systems. Leveraging your extensive background as a data engineer with over 15 years of experience, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and efficient conceptual data models. Your expertise in AWS and Python will be instrumental in crafting data solutions that drive our e-commerce services to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyze their data needs, translating complex business requirements into clear and concise data modeling specifications.Data System Evaluation: Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of existing data systems and architectures, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization to meet evolving business demands.Conceptual Data Modeling: Work closely with the development team to design and create conceptual data models that outline data structures, relationships, and flows, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability.AWS and Python Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services and Python programming to design and implement data solutions that capitalize on the power and flexibility of these technologies.Best Practice Development: Develop and enforce data coding standards and best practices to maintain consistency, quality, and integrity across the data ecosystem.Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, software developers, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless integration of data models and systems.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, processes, and decisions, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing within the organization.Innovation: Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in data modeling, AWS, and Python, bringing innovative ideas to enhance our data architecture and services.nd improve sales skills through training, shadowing, and coaching to increase results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 15 years of professional experience as a data engineer, with a strong emphasis on data modeling and architecture.Proven expertise in designing and implementing conceptual data models, with a track record of successful data integration and optimization.Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, particularly in designing data solutions using services like Amazon S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, etc.Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, transformation, and integration tasks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical data solutions.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively across interdisciplinary teams.Prior experience within the ecommerce or retail industry is a plus.AWS certification and additional relevant certifications are highly desirable.
